Vintage Shopping šŸ›ļø

  1. Lost Gen Vintage, St Andrew Street, Kensington

    Lost Gen Vintage

Located in Kensington, just a stone’s throw from other vintage stores, I was genuinely taken aback by this shop in particular.

The stock was beautifully curated — premium pieces ranging from long fur coats to Y2K sequined tops and jeans. What really impressed me, though, was the accessories collection, featuring stunning and stylish Y2K bags from brands like Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior monogram, and more. Even more impressive were the sunglasses, which stole the spotlight with their classic 2000s clear and pink-tinted lenses straight out of the Paris Hilton era.

This shop was a dream. The staff made the experience, and I’ll definitely be going back again! I highly recommend it to anyone — plus, it’s very close to Space Vintage, Boho Chachkies, and other great vintage stores.

  1. I Miss You Vintage, Ossington Avenue

I Miss You Vintage

I Miss You Vintage located in the premium area of Ossington attracted lots of high profile clients. This was reflected in the one of a kind, specially curated pieces that were all absolutely stunning and a stylists dream.

From a variety of shoes, to shelves upon shelves of Chanel bags and rails of Gucci, Rick Owens and more. There is something for everyone.

  1. The Dressing Room, Queen Street West

The Dressing Room

From Hermes scarves, to fur trimmed Fendi heels and a Leopard print Moschino coat. This story was cozy and full of lots of hidden gems. Conveniently located in Ossington featuring well taken care of vintage pieces.

  1. Boho Chachkies, Nassau Street near Kensington Market

Boho Chachkies

Every Y2K obsessed girls dream. Think guess monogram, flared embroidered jeans and sequined bedazzled camis. Super cozy with rail fulls of frills, denim and chiffon. I was pleasantly suprised by the self moving bag stand! Very chic.

  1. Space Vintage, Kensington Avenue

Space Vintage

Classy, chic and elegant; Space Vintage interiors featured beautiful fitting rooms, a welcoming service and super feminine features such as burberry skirts, satin dresses and silky camis. Perfect for ocassion wear.

  1. Courage My Love, Kensington Avenue

Courage My Love

An interesting array of objects for sale from all corners of the world. Courage my love may as well have been called Aladdin's cave with all its peculiar trinkets that seemed to hold a story of there own. Packed with objects of all kind you can spend a long time in here exploring.

Pluto's Closet

Like The TK Maxx of Canada, this store had tons of hidden gems both new and second hand as well as big labels like Guess, Steve Madden and Moncler.

U3 Official

Although not a vintage store, U3 Official really captivated me with there modern streetwear pieces featuring creative and out there details. I was also very impressed by the perceived quality. The 'snakeskin style' shirt had a beautiful luxury texture.

It was a great experience entering there store, all the staff were great and informative. This is definetly a memorable brand I will be looking into more.

Food and drink šŸ”šŸŸ

  1. Cafe 23, Queen Street West ā˜•

    Cafe 23

One of the most beautiful cafĆ©s around, often with a queue outside. It’s the perfect cozy place to stop for a snack or a drink, and there’s even a large table at the back for co-working. Everything in this cafĆ© is charming — from the furniture to the pastries — and the garden is the true star of the show, attracting plenty of small birds. It’s a peaceful, creative, and unique little space.

I ordered the hot chocolate, which was delicious. I highly recommend stopping by or even spending an afternoon here.

  1. Badiali Pizza šŸ•

Badiali Pizza

I found this pizza place on TikTok, and it did not disappoint. I could smell the pizza from down the street — it was so rich and fragrant that I knew I’d come to the right spot. The slices were a good size, the prices were reasonable, and the base was perfectly crispy. Overall, it was absolutely delicious.

  1. Matcha Matcha (chain) šŸµ

Matcha Matcha

The interior design of this place was stunning, featuring chrome finishes and bold statement dƩcor. I went at a good time in the early afternoon, but it quickly became busy, with the queue extending out the door in multiple lines.

I ordered the salted caramel matcha, which was absolutely delicious — the perfect balance of sweet and salty (though I am a huge caramel fan).

The matcha ice cream came in a generous portion, but the flavour was a little bland, so I’m not sure I’d get it again.

Overall, it was a really nice experience.

  1. Daves (chain) šŸ—

    Dave's

I didn’t realise Dave’s was a chain restaurant available internationally. This was my first time trying it, and for fried chicken and chips, this is truly as good as it gets.

Every item was outstanding — the flavour of the chicken was delicious, and nothing fell below excellent, not even the sauce or the pickles. In fact, the pickles might have been my favourite part. I highly recommend it, and I’m already craving it again.

  1. Nut bar Ossington šŸæļø

Nutbar

I was drawn in by their nut-milk alternative. There’s no seating area — it’s a small hole-in-the-wall spot on Ossington but perfect for a quick stop. They’re known for their smoothies and have a nice selection. I ordered the nut-milk alternative matcha, but it was a bit disappointing in flavour.

Other places I'd reccomend going whilst in Toronto: St Dundas Square (once it's gotten dark), andy Botanical Gardens, Harbour way (when the weather is good), China town.
